Matthias Van Gorp KFT

Software company · Budapest, Hungary

I solve business problems with software.

For businesses in Belgium and across the EU. You work directly with the person solving your problem, with no account managers in between.

Products

Two products I built and run myself.

The same way I work for clients: find a problem worth solving, pick the simplest approach that holds up, ship it, and keep improving it.

Arcway

All your bookings become one trip, on one map.

Forward your booking confirmations and Arcway turns them into a single trip: flights, stays and photos on a map, plus a link you can share with friends and family.

  • Forward an email, get a trip. No typing it all in.
  • Flights, stays and photos together on one map
  • One shareable link for the people back home
  • Live in five languages

Hearth

Each morning, one plain sentence about how you're really doing.

Instead of reducing your body to an arbitrary 0–100 score, Hearth learns your personal baselines from 28 days of sleep, overnight HRV, heart rate, respiratory rate and wrist temperature. Then it tells you whether you're recovered, steady or should take it easier.

  • Flags early signs of illness
  • Catches slow trends you wouldn't notice day to day
  • Connects habits and workouts to how you actually sleep
  • Runs on-device. Your health data never leaves your iPhone.

Selected work

Problems I've solved for clients.

Clients stay anonymous here. The problems and the outcomes are real.

01 · ScalingEvent platform
500,000visitors expected in a single day

A national event platform expected half a million visitors in one day, on modest hosting.

What I did
Put a caching layer in front of the application and load-tested it well before the day.
Result
It stayed up on the day.
02 · E-invoicing

A Belgian client's customer required structured e-invoices.

What I did
Connected their existing invoicing to the PEPPOL network.
Result
Invoices go out in the format their customer requires.
03 · Integration

Photos lived in one system, the website in another.

What I did
Built an automatic sync between the two.
Result
New images appear on the site without manual work.
04 · Takeover

An agency handed over an existing web application.

What I did
Took over the codebase and stabilised it.
Result
The application kept moving, with one person who knows it end to end.
05 · Automation

A product catalog that has to stay current, every week.

What I did
Automated the data gathering and added AI-assisted tagging.
Result
The catalog updates itself every week.

How I work

One person, from problem to production.

I'm Matthias, a Belgian based in Budapest. When you work with my company, you work with me. The person who hears the problem is the one who builds the answer, and the one you call when something needs to change.

  1. 01

    The problem comes first

Before any code, I want to know what's going wrong and what it costs you. Sometimes the answer is less software, not more.

  2. 02

    Ship early

You see something working in weeks, not a specification. Real use tells us more than another meeting.

  3. 03

AI where it speeds things up

AI agents take care of the routine parts. The thinking, and the responsibility, stay with me.

  4. 04

    Still here after launch

Software needs looking after. I stay on to fix, adjust and extend what we built.

Tell me what's getting in the way.

A few lines are enough: what's going wrong, and what it costs you. I'll tell you plainly whether I'm the right person to fix it.
